Thought Frenzy
Well Anam and I decided to help those bitten by the writing bug by starting a new platform for them to showcase what they want to say. Thought Frenzy. A new website where anyone who has some thing original to say can write their wonderful thoughts .Thought Frenzy- as it will be many different thoughts of different writers , varied topics, various styles of writing.
For now we have Hamza, who had a couple of his poems on Saanams .
Savera who will be writing under the name of Savvy
BilloRani who will begin on this wonderful journey with words.
If any of you are interested in adding articles to the site we welcome you to get in touch with us
If not, do encourage those who are contributing to the site by reading and leaving your feedback on Thoughts Frenzy .
Do visit http://thought-frenzy.com
Look forward to seeing you there as well.

I am just wondering why those people don`t set up their own blogs just like you did. Is it for the joy of writing as a team or because they won`t have enough material to post on their own

Its just a platform for them to begin as they have other things to do too and we manage the blog for them
It is a joy to have different styles, different minds and different thoughts come together on one page and makes for intersting reading as well dont you think

On thing is boggling my mind. Webmasters of top rated multi-author websites in Pakistan say that they barely make enough money to cover the hosting costs from advertisements. How is this possible when they get so much traffic. If this is the case then getting a domain must be extremely expensive or am I missing something here? You help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We don't make money out of any of our sites. All of the sites run by Saanj & I are purely out of pleasure. The money for hosting and domains comes out of pocket. We prefer to keep out site advertisement free – the site looks much cleaner that way.
As for barely making any money from advertisements, well it depends what kind of advertisements they are. For example, if we have google ads, the site gets paid by per-click.. not just for having the ads on the site. It isn't too much either, one would need to have many different advertisements to make really good money. I, personally don't think it's worth it. I'd rather keep my site neat and clean
Domains and hosting can be expensive, depending on where one buys it from. One can find many deals online. I certainly did when I bought the hosting 8 years ago.

There are so many multi-author blogs in Pakistan and they are doing so well. Why aren't there such blogs in India especially when there are millions more Indians than Pakistanis?

Sorry I ask too many questions. Just two more.
1. Why do people purchase domains if they can set up a free blog in wordpress or blogger?
2. Is there a way to stop yourself from showing in the live traffic feed on your own website. eg. If I visit my own blog a few times a day, then all that will show in the live traffic feed is my own self. Is there some way to stop that?
Thank you so much.

1. Because with having your own domain, you have all the power over what you want to do with your site. With Wordpress.com or Blogger.com – there is only so much you can do to customize your blog/site. Plus, it's your own dot com.
2. Depends what you are using as the live traffic feed. There are numerous options to stop your own visits from being counted as the traffic.

What's the simplest method of them all?

Again depends what tool (s) you are using for the site. For example, on Feedjit, there is an option that says 'ignore my browser' that will ignore the visits you make to your own site.
